Unfit For Honours – Margaret Court

Call us LGBTIQ, call us Queer, call us people of different Sexual Orientations & Gender Identities, and we might cringe at any one of them, but we’ll wear it.

What we will not wear is slanders strongly reminiscent of the Nazi slanders on Jews, Slavs, and anyone else they considered ‘Untermenschen’.

Slander One: we are servants of the great Evil One, Satan himself. Practically devil-worshippers, yes?

In the Gospel According to Court, homosexuality is an ungodly “lust for the flesh” and LGBT tendencies in young people were “all the devil”.

Slander Two: we’re neo-Nazis, or possibly neo-communists, or both (she’s not the worlds sharpest mind)

“That’s what Hitler did. That’s what communism did,” Court said, “get in the minds of the children.”

Slander Three: we’re out to corrupt children, we’re want to get our hands on innocent children. In short, she’s calling us child stealers.

“There’s a whole plot in our nation and in the nations of the world to get in the minds of the children… They’re after our young ones, that’s what they’re after.”

Slander Four: we want to convert children to homosexuality. She’s calling us predatory paedophiles.

In America, she said “92 per cent [of homosexuals] were abused sexually or emotionally when they were young even to be this way”.

Slander Five: we’re out to corrupt sport, in particular, tennis: again, apparently, in order to ‘recruit’ children.

Tennis was full of lesbians, she said. In her day, there were only “a couple”, but they were disproportionately influential. “They took the young ones to parties and things,” she said.

Even if the children who become LGBTI are not made so by being sexually abused, they are at badly brought up, neglected, easy prey for the gays.

Schoolchildren who struggled with their sexual identities must have been raised by parents who “don’t care”, surmised Court. She said she was a tomboy who liked to wear shorts and could kick a footy, prompting her mother to say: “You should have been a boy.” But she never had any doubt.

“If you feel like being a girl, you can dress like a girl,” mused Court. “What confusion to a child. I get confused talking about it. You can think, ‘I’m a boy’, and it affects your emotions and feelings and everything else. That’s all the devil.”

Oh, and she’s a racist, too.
One of the ‘nice’ ones, whose church is full of nice compliant dependent brown people worshipping Big White Mamma Turtleneck.

In 1970, Court kicked things off by praising South Africa’s apartheid policy (“South Africans have this thing better organised than any other country, particularly America,” she said. “I love South Africa. I’ll go back there any time.”)

No-one, not even an ancient Goddess of The Racquet, could get away with calling, say, Aborigines, or Chinese, or left-handed people Nazis, Communists, devil-worshippers, paedophiles, child-stealers, and child abusers, and not be absolutely excoriated by every right thinking person on the planet. But it’s OK to spread hate-inducing slander against us. They’ll even give you medals for it.
