Freshly Doug Tuesday

It’s probably heresy to say this, and the queerocracy will probably lynch me, but with collapse of ALSO, and now the inability of ACON to live within its means, maybe the incoming Queensland government got it right when it defunded QAHC, albeit for all the wrong reasons?

Perhaps, just perhaps, these huge, unwieldy, bureaucratic feather-beds for community characters are no longer the way to go, that complacency has set in, and we need to find a new model that isn’t so comfortably attached to the teats of state and federal governments? Just sayin’……. Who wants to suggest a new way of working? Let’s have a debate right here.

And in overseas news, more evidence of Uganda’s determination to jail and hang us if they can. Now is the time for a firm statement from the likes of Bob Carr, Julia Gillard and even Tony Abbott, that members of the Ugandan government will be persona non grata if this passes, that their diplomats will be expelled, Ugandan assets frozen, and any LBGTI refugees from here are more than welcome to make their homes with us.

If we can get a Royal Commission into Vatican ChildRape International Inc, we can do this. Or do we not care enough about our black brothers and sisters in Africa?
